- For more than 50 years, our client has built a reputation for expertise, superior quality and outstanding customer service to wide variety of OEM clients
- Based in suburban Chicago in an ISO certified facility with a commitment to continuous improvement and to the pursuit of the highest quality precision products
- Responsible for the PPAP process
- Become the process owner for the calibration system using Gage Trak software including performing calibrations to meet industry standards
- Perform gage R&R and data analysis using High-QA software while updating quality records within the system
- Work with quality technicians to ensure compliance for processes and customer requirements
- Perform first article and in-process inspections as required
- Lead project management programs and lean manufacturing efforts
- Conduct time studies to improve low efficiency process rates
- Perform internal quality audits to meet customer, regulatory, or statutory requirements
- Develop in-process inspection reports
- Assist in CMM programming using PC-DMIS and Modus software
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering preferred
- Quality engineering experience in a precision machining manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with ISO, AS9100, IATF, and ITAR standards
- Ability to read blueprints
- Knowledge of CMM programming and operation
- Experience with micrometers, calipers, snap gages, bore gages and other measuring and inspection equipment
- Ability to work autonomously and with a high degree of accountability for results
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
