Our client is a leading privately held and growing multi-site manufacturer of capital equipment. In this Director of Procurement role, you will be responsible for $40 million in annual spend while providing strategic vision to reduce costs and gain efficiencies within the purchasing team.

- For more than 100 years, our client has built a reputation for engineering innovation that now includes energy generating and recovery features and preventative maintenance software to increase machine uptime
- Based in suburban Chicago with 2 manufacturing facilities to serve customers for custom and standard equipment needs
Position Overview
- Responsible for $40 million in annual purchasing spend for raw materials, components, and related supplies
- Provide strategic vision to purchasing to support business growth while reducing costs and gaining efficiencies
- As needed, perform buyer and expeditor functions as needed
- Maintain information in the ERP system to provide accurate, real time information
Candidate Requirements
- Ideally, 10 or more years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability and experience managing people and projects
- Knowledge of steel and steel coil purchasing
- Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills
- Team oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without restrictions
